as a contractor, a consultant, a trade body, or other campaign supporter

 

Firstly – if you haven’t already done so, you can show your support and solidarity with tackling stigma by becoming a campaign member.  Contractors, consultants, trade bodies and other campaign supporters can become corporate members – staff and others can become supporter members.  Its FREE to join.  Go HERE to complete the membership form.

 The Stop Social Housing Stigma campaign is tenant-led, but we all need to work together to tackle social housing stigma and we particularly want to work in partnership with contractors, consultants, trade bodies and other campaign supporters who support our aims to tackle social housing stigma.  Repairs contractors spend a lot of time in tenants’ homes and how they engage with tenants is an important part of tackling social housing stigma.  Consultants, trade bodies and many others have varying levels of influence on the issue and we want everyone to consider how to tackle social housing stigma.

There are many ways you can help the campaign.  Contractors, consultants, trade bodies and other campaign supporters can:

  • encourage people and organisations they come into contact with to become members of the STOP SOCIAL HOUSING STIGMA campaign
  • participate in STOP SOCIAL HOUSING STIGMA campaign’s stigma discussion session as appropriate
  • display the STOP SOCIAL HOUSING STIGMA campaign logo on your website and in your email footers
  • display the STOP SOCIAL HOUSING STIGMA campaign’s poster throughout your workplace
  • update your staff handbook and staff management procedures to ensure that you address social housing stigma locally
  • attend and participate in our planned webinars about social housing stigma
