Stop Social Housing Stigma response to the Regulator’s More and Better Homes consultation
Our response to the Regulator of Social Housing’s More and Better Homes is available here.
We have focussed on:
a) our support for the building of new social homes so that social housing can be a sector of choice
b) the need for the regulator to ensure tenure-blind development
c) the need to ensure that revisions to the economic standards to enable building more homes does not mean that the fragile renaissance of the consumer standards that make such a difference to tenants is diminished
d) that culture and tackling stigma are vital to tenants and that they are governance matters and so should be part of the governance standard
