SSHS launching its response to the Regulator of Social Housing’s consultation on changes to the Consumer Standards framework. The consultation is largely about whether the RSH have applied the Government directions correctly. But we have used our response to point out that the Conduct and Competence Standard does not address the stigma issues raised by tenants post Grenfell. Our response charts the sequence of events since Grenfell and we also point to the challenges of the vague terms in the consumer standards that relate directly to tenant concerns.
